Potato Picker

This gourd is taken from a photograph of a proud and beautiful young woman who makes her living picking potatoes in the Midwest. She survives as best she can and uses leftover potato sacks to make into shawls and vests. This gourd was also a little experiment in texture for me, and I added a bit of oil pastel to my usual pyrography, leather dye and acrylic paint.
