Hide and Seek

This little gourd pretty much designed itself.
It is a beautifully-shaped gourd with natural
mottles and stripes that I simply could not manage
to cover it with alternative designs. So instead
I took advantage of the stripes and stains that
it wanted to keep and added in a few whiskers,
colors, eyes and snouts. The result is a Hide
and Seek gourd that seems to have a tiger and
a zebra somewhere in there as well. There is
very little leather dye on this gourd - some
of it is natural color of the gourd, and most
of the rest is colored with watered down acrylic
paint - except for the eyes, of course. As usual
the money the sale of this gourd will go to UNICEF,
or M.O.R.E. I am also open to having to a different
non-profit that you desire, as long as it is
for a good cause such as human rights, environmental
protection, or public health.
Speaking of public health -- I have been a little
bit under the weather, so what I could have completed
last weekend, I did not finish until today -
25 December. Maybe having a Christmas finish
is not so bad after all, but Hide and Seek is
probably my last gourd for the year. Don't be
like me - take your vitamins, and drink plenty
of water. Stay warm and healthy..
