The First Kiss

Okay, so maybe this was not the first kiss that this mommy gave this little babe. How could it be? But the surprised look on her face sure makes it seem as thought it was! Perhaps it was the sound of the kiss - a nice little smack next to her ear. Who knows!

This is a very nice bottle gourd, sturdy and with a nice silky coating around the inside of the rim. It is about 9 inches in diameter, and is decorated with pyrography, leather dye and acrylic paint. It also won a ‘Best of Show’ ribbon at the El Dorado County Fair in 2007. It is one of my favorites.
